The LORD used Elisha to prophesy unto the people of Samaria in a beautiful way, and this scripture speaks to us today of how faithful The LORD is unto all those who believe upon His Name. This scripture passage also paints a type and shadow for us of what happens unto all those who stagger in unbelief of the Word of GOD Who is Jesus Christ LORD of LORDS. In 2 Kings 7, Elisha prophesies in the midst of a great famine in Samaria that upon tomorrow about that same time of day that the people will be able to purchase fine flour and 2 measures of barley for a shekel each, that their bellies and storehouses may be filled, in the gate of Samaria. There was a certain lord on whose hand the king leaned who doubted the word of The LORD through the prophet Elisha and said, “Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?” Elisha says unto this certain lord, “Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof” for he lingered in unbelief and doubt in his heart.
Right before this time, the king of Syria had a mighty army that warred against Israel and had besieged Samaria. Elisha saved the king of Israel by warning him of the king of Syria and his army that had come to war against him. The king of Syria was sore troubled that his secret plot to overtake Israel was revealed and sent a spy to see how it was that the king of Israel knew of his plan against him, thinking in his heart he had been betrayed. The spy returned to the king of Syria and told him that Elisha the prophet was the one revealing the secrets of his bedchamber by the Spirit of GOD moving on him with divine wisdom and knowledge. The king of Syria was outraged and sent his mighty army to capture Elisha in Dothan and this is where the story of the hundreds of thousands of chariots of fire of the host of angel armies covered the mountains around them and also stood ready at command in the skies comes into place! Elisha had been walking in great miracles and the double blessing anointing from Elijah through The LORD, and all of the tribes of the nations at this time heard of the great things he had been doing and of the divine power he was walking in.
In 2 Kings 7:6, The LORD made the host of the Syrians to hear a mighty rushing noise of chariots and the noise of a great host upon horses and caused them to flee in fear of Israel. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight and left their tents and horses and their entire camp as it was and fled for their lives. Israel heard that the rich camp of the Syrian army had been left empty and full of spoil and riches and gold, and at first the king of Israel thought it was a trap, that the Syrian army left the camp wide open and were hiding themselves in the field waiting for them to leave the city to come to the camp so they could ambush them. So the king sent 2 chariot horses to go spy out the situation to test the reality of the situation. When they had found out for certain the Syrian army had fled for their lives leaving all behind, the people of Israel left the city going even unto Jordan finding all the way, garments and vessels filled with treasures of gold and spoiled all of the abandoned tents. So, a measure of fine flour and 2 measures of barely were sold for a shekel, according to the word of The LORD. The king of Israel appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned charge over the gate, and the people trode upon him in the gate and he died, as Elisha had prophesied. And it came to pass as Elisha had spoken to the king all that he had prophesied. GOD blessed His people and chased away the enemy, as well as dealing with the unbelieving doubting of heart.
There is a mighty story here for us today, learning of the greatness of The LORD our Almighty GOD: HE PROTECTS HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE AND PROVIDES FOR HIS PEOPLE, AND THE LORD OF HOSTS CHASES AWAY THE ENEMY FROM US! The Bride of Christ is surrounded by an innumerable host of angelic armies encamped round about her, and no power of satan or any great dark mighty army can stand against what GOD has ordained. There are more angels surrounding us than there are demons and dark ruling princes against us. The enemy cannot touch GOD’s anointed and can do His prophets no harm. GOD is true to His Word which is from everlasting to everlasting and the same GOD Who did all of these things is still the same GOD Who we know by Name and Who loves us so much! The LORD is faithful unto all those who believe upon Him. There is nothing He hates more than unbelief and doubt. This message is shadowed for us through the death of the lord who’s hand the king of Israel leaned upon. He doubted the word of GOD through the prophet Elisha therefore cast down to death for his unbelief. We need to recognize that unbelief is more serious than we realize, for it is through unbelief that our faith dies. If we waiver in unbelief and doubt, it can bring forth spiritual death if we are not careful. The lord who died literally said that GOD would have to make windows in heaven for this thing to happen, that it would take a miracle and nothing less; he did not believe the word of The LORD and basically scoffed at Elisha. Does this sound familiar? Have you been scoffed at for speaking the Word of The LORD?
📯DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED NOR DISMAYED📯
The LORD moved in a mighty way to cause the Syrian army to flee in fear of The sound their ears did hear at the twilight hour. The twilight is in between the darkness of night and the light of day: the time of shifting and change. The twilight is a transitional time of waiting or of change. The LORD made the lights in the heavens for signs and for seasons and for days and for years. The twilight divides the darkness from the light. There is a twilight anointing that is available to the Church of Jesus Christ which holds great promises and signs, wonders, and miracles. GOD moves when we stand in faith on His promises and when we believe upon Him. He is so good, and all good gifts come down from the Father of Lights. In the middle of a famine GOD will shower us with provision and He will sustain us for HE ALONE is Jehovah-Jireh! He will chase away the enemy and He will let us rob and spoil him, retrieving all that the thief has stolen. He is searching the hearts of His faithful ones, the hearts of His people, with His eyes of burning flame. EL ROI SEES ALL. He is loosing the floodgates of heaven over His Bride right now and He will nourish us and hold us fast… but we have a part to play as well. WE MUST BELIEVE! We cannot waiver in doubt or unbelief. We must believe with all of our hearts in all of the almighty power of Jesus Christ our LORD! If we waiver in faith, then we truly are not fully persuaded in our hearts and that is where we need to be, little children of The Most High GOD! WE MUST BE FULLY PERSUADED!

THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD DRAWS NEAR!
📯”Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life. And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it. Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household. So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were. And he called the porters; and they told it to the king’s house within. And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city. And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see. They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see. And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king. And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord. And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the Lord should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And so it fell out unto him: for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.”📯2 Kings 7📯
📯KING JESUS SAID:
📯”If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”📯John 3:12-18📯
📯”Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.”📯John 4:48📯
