What would a life look like without faith? To fully understand a life without faith we must first look at what exactly faith is. Hebrews 11:1 “so faith is the substance of things, hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
I’ve got to admit a life without having hope seems pretty terrible. If no hope was possible then I wouldn’t be able to trust in God that is unseen. After all God is A Spirit. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”-John 4:24 KJV
Thank God for hope, right? We have hope because it can be proven through faith. We have a evidence against anyone who would say,”There is no such thing as hope.” or “There is no hope!” As Christians, we must look to faith in areas of our lives that are without a doubt unanswered. So we know a life without faith gives us no hope and that births doubt, confusion, resentment and worry. When any person is faced with this, they simply have the choice to “hope for the unseen things” rather than doubt or fear.
When we as Christians look to our faith, how much do we consider the source of our faith? This is a reasonable question considering the fact that the source of our faith is the One who hears our prayers. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that come with to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” It’s simply explained; we can’t expect something without faith. Us believing births the action of God’s end thus showing us the will of God. So now we must look deeper into faith and see not what but Who. Jesus Christ! Amen?!
Hebrews 12:2 “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Notice it says “the joy set was before him” this shows me through faith we can receive a mindset to go the things of this world.
When it comes to tribulation it is possible for us to endure it. But how? Faith without works is dead, so prayer and faith births The Will of God over our lives. I like to believe that everything we need is already at our disposal all we need to do is believe and speak it forth!
–Matthew 17:20 “and Jesus said unto them because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto, you if you have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove hints to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
A life without faith can mean two things, one disbelief and, two a failure to see who is the source of it. Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly then he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.” This means the level of our faith measures the level of what we have to do with the answering of prayers. Let me just tell you, nothing! God is only the only who answers prayers. On our end it’s best remain humble and faithful to God rather than boastful and pride at heart. I can support this clearly by saying that an atheist has no regard to faith and no regard to God. Many are boastful of their doings and their own heart says to themselves there is no God. Let that sink in.
The Justified believers are saved by faith. We walk in the Spirit of God. “God is Spirit and Truth”- John 4:24. Those who believe in truth *The Word of God (Jesus Christ) by faith are justified because of their confession by mouth. Romans 10:9-10 “That lf thou shalt confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead that shall be saved. For with the heart man believe this onto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”
Romans 1:7 “for there in the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith”
With tribulations we must as well apply the word like the blood of Jesus to our justified life so that we may be saved from tribulation. Which is some cases God can be testing you to see your faith in Him or All together seeing if you will ask Him to remove the trouble. Again look Mark 11:22-24 “And Jesus answering saying onto them, have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that who so ever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith the shell come to pass, He shall have whatsoever he safe. Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. This goes for us as His followers! We are His Saints and are able to approach everything in faith to see the things which are unseen come to pass. Beautiful!
Why would we have have a life without faith?
Pride, from seeing the source of faith and answered prayers. Doubt and disbelief in the works of spiritual things. Lack of willingness to endure the hardship. That’s right I said it. It hurts to see many Christians and even my self at times deal with unwillingness to trust God and endure. God will but on trial our faith.
1 Peter 1:7-9 “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than I love gold that perisheth: though it be tried with fire, might be found on to praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus: Christ whom have not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory; receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
If we can operate in such faith then we can overcome such things of this world. What then stops us from having victory enjoy every moment of our lives? Again we go back to how Christ places before him joy to endure the cross. Could you possibly imagine sitting before yourself joy to be persecuted to death? If we can not, then faith is need to more so than you can imagine. 1 John 5:4 ” For what so ever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith.”
A life with our faith seems missing the whole point of living. Faith is given to us. So we can clearly see that God intends to do His part if we tap into what we have already. Are you a steward of your faith? Do you cultivate your faith by being willing to be sent through a trial? Are living with our faith? Giving up in a moment of sincere surrender is in fact the first way to faith in Jesus Christ. Give Him your heart and let Him fill you salvation through that faith. All we have to offer God is our hearts, and that’s all He wants.
Matthew 9:20-22 “And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood 12 years, came behind him, and touch the hem of his garment: for she said within herself, if I am me but touch his garment, I shall be home. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, daughter, be of good comfort; die faith has made the whole.
God Bless we hope this has been insightful and encouraging to you. Our Vision our is to help other secure their faith with Jesus Christ, so that walking with Him is all you need!
