Seven Jewels of Faith(2)

KNOWLEDGE THE SECOND JEWELcrown2

The knowledge Peter writes is based on the revealed Word of God. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7) King Solomon asked for wisdom rather than riches or military conquests.
(I Kings 3: 1-15) Worldly knowledge puffs up a person. (I Corinthians 8:1) “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17)

Here is where deception takes place with our own minds. Yes, truly we should ask for wisdom. Our prayer life will bring forth so much life when we listen to true sincere wisdom and not worldly wisdom.

1 Corinthians 3:19 “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God For it is written, “He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS”;
Worldly wisdom seems to be a birthing of a haughty and prideful spirit within a person. We as devoted followers must be able to know pure, truthful and peaceable knowledge. Our discernment is important, which is connected to our relationship and having the Holy Spirit.

True knowledge is holy and pure, without criminal intention or corrupt mindset or biased and judgmental. The knowledge that God provides is peaceable and gentle (courteous, polite). A person with divine wisdom is humble, willing to learn, serve, and to accept correction.  When we find ourselves unwilling we then are forcing God to fall back from us. When we fail to humble ourselves it is because something that we have thought or taken in has puffed us up. James 3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.

When we begin to humble ourselves before the knowledge of the Lord he will give us revelation and understanding. When we accept correction we show a willingness or hunger. When we allow others to step into our lives we have let God hand us hidden things within us. This is truly a jewel. Knowing about God and His Word is one thing, but also having revelations about ourselves within the word is another. For example, When Paul speaks about walking in the Spirit and we are revelated in the word about our own walk, we have achieved a testimony and knowledge of God’s word being alive. We have seen the power in the knowledge of God.

This knowledge is merciful and gracious in relationships. The fruit of this knowledge is good, pleasing and a blessing. This knowledge does not allow people to discriminate or be partial.

There are people with knowledge which is used for ignoble purposes. For example: Political wisdom to manipulate people, bureaucratic wisdom to abuse power, criminal wisdom to do ID thefts and do white-collar crimes, legal wisdom to exploit and oppress others. Such worldly smart wisdom is not rooted in faith on Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we come to you in Jesus name for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Great Father your ways are not our ways! We need simply your guiding Holy Spirit to teach us your pearls of wisdom. God, we thank you for our faith we can receive anything we ask according to your will. Lord you want us to achieve in this world so we ask that your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding be upon us in Jesus Name Amen!
