Effectively Use Your Weapons: The Word

Spiritual Warfare without Victory is just war

I think we can all agree that spiritual warfare can be troublesome when we get hit in new places of our lives. What do I mean by that? I mean, a undiscovered weakness or a renewed scare the enemy has focused on and we have left our guard down.

When we begin to look at God’s equipment for warfare we start to see that we are not empty handed. In fact if you might not see just how much God has given us. We are going to be covering 12 ways that’s right 12 ways that we can effectively use our weapons and what they are.

The Word

The number one desire and weapon God gives us is His word. The Weapon of reproof, correction, direction and truth. God is a mighty sword for us in battle. His word’s are lethal. We posses the very living sword of the Spirit. God is the word. So if we are reading it and studying it them we must learn to equip it. How so? Knowledge, application and memorization are key.

Ephesians 6:17“And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Isaiah 11:4 “But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.”
2 Thessalonians 2:8 “Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;”
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
Revelation 1:16 “In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.”
Revelation 2:12“And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The One who has the sharp two-edged sword says this”
Revelation 2:16 “Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.”

We use scripture to defend ourselves in battle and to strengthen through hardship. I encourage you to train you mind to read in a plan or devotion that leads you to see deeper revelations. Also memorizing is apart of knowing the word. Do not get caught up in The chapter and verse, that will come. How ever a set direction with a road map leads you into the correct direction. Devotional teachings and memorization are the keys I wish for you to use. The Word of God must be spoke through knowledge and application. By speaking the word in understanding of our place in it, it gives us a identity and authority. When we step in to Christ’s authority  we have something offensive yet something that is a defensive and offensive that is more powerful that our words. Which is the blood of Jesus Christ~ Next we will be unleashing the power in the Blood of Jesus. How it used defensively and offensively. Continue to The Blood
