A new Creature in Christ

The Understanding of Gods Promises;
A new Creature in Christ By Daniel & Roxanne Byzewski

Bible readings are: 2 Corinthians 5:17

In the chapter we are immediately shown we formally or should have had a earthly Tabernacle dissolved. (The Death of ourselves) this to me is an intimate depiction of our old festive holy of holies being brought low and washed clean from other filth and sin. This comes by receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and washed in his blood and water.

I want to take a deeper look into the word Tabernacle. The Tabernacle was known as a tent where feasts were brought. Yet in this depiction are Tabernacle is dealing with our Temple (Body, soul, Spirit) or also known in this chapter our house. Our tent with a table is prepared where Jesus Christ can supplicate with us. This is the communication between the heart in the word of God. The door of our heart is the entrence of our new Tabernacle. Which we are told that we have a building of God. To me this means that the temple of God is to occupy the spirit of God. And the Breath of God forms this house. The word of God says in Genesis 2:7 “and the Lord God formed man of the Dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life and Man became a living being” God here formed him with his hands but breathed into him with the breath of life which is the spirit of God.

This is parallel to 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 1 “we have a building of God and a house not made with hands Eternal in the heavens.” this shares with us that the creation of man and the salvation of man through Jesus Christ is parallel. Our spirit man and our inner man is the Tabernacle, new creature, the temple of God. Our house mentioned here in chapter 5 of 2nd Corinthians.

Now there is mentioning in verse 2 groans to be clothed with our new house. Being made a new creature we then groan to be clothed. It is my interest and to share with you our findings through studying the word of God what exactly are we being clothed with and why do we desire to be clothed after being a new creature in Christ.

The groans come from our new spirit the new creature the new Tabernacle because of our Earnest desire to be clothed. This grown is the burden of still being a human and  letting me know but awaiting mortality to be dissolved. In simplified terms we are awaiting the death of our old body to be in the presence of our glorified body within them and in front of our Lord. We are still awaiting the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thus in Romans 23-27  ” and not only they but ourselves also which have the first fruits of the spirit which we ourselves groan within ourselves waiting for the adoption to wit the Redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope but hope that is seen is not hope for what a man see it why does he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit itself make it intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searches the heart knoweth what is the mind of the spirit because he maketh intercession for the Saints according to the will of God.

The clothing is our new body promised 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 40;44; 54 and also Philippians 3 vs 20 through 21.
The clothing also is the holy spirit which Comforts us as we feel weighted down and oppress. In studies the word comforter or counselor in Greek is Paraclete which means Advocate alongside to strengthen and fight behalf of one another.

The Holy Spirit clothes us with the anointing and glory to walk in the acts of the Holy Spirit putting on the character or characteristics of God knowing also in Galatians chapter 5 known as the fruits of the spirit. Note to yourself the spirit is not the fruit but the fruit is the production of having the Holy Spirit upon you.

So as we await for our glorified bodies we are oppressed. May know this as spiritual warfare. We can become damaged if you will. So we here are in need of putting on the garments of our new house. We know that the spirit is our comforter that covers Us and helps us walk in righteousness, As a new creature in Christ. Here is a verse found in 2nd Corinthians Chapter 5 Verse 3 we shall not be found naked.

Let me turn your attention to the illustration and Matthew 22 coming to the wedding feast. One was found without His Garment and cast it out. This means his nakedness was noticed by the king. So it is safe to say since we are covered by the Holy Spirit God’s anointing his presence that this man was not prepared to be in the presence of the Lord because he had not had the presence upon him. In Genesis 3 verses 6 through 7 Adam and Eve were found naked and felt shame which brings us to coverings and the foreshadowing to the New Testament needing a covering and closed in Christ which is our righteousness.

In Revelations 3 verse 4 & 5 and also 18 are mentioning of glorified bodies having garments that are clothed in righteousness. So our clothes bodies that we yearn for are the garments we will receive at the marriage-feast. This is the reason why we are groaning and waiting for the Lord. We’ve been received our glorified bodies, But in the meantime it is not likely for God to want us to be naked no.

And chapter 4 of Ephesians it talks about putting on the new man in verse 24 it says “put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” So now that God has created a new body or in this chapter a new home or house to indwell the Holy Spirit we must also defend ourselves with the word and Truth to be interested and pure holiness.

God defends himself by his word and Truth likewise shall we put on righteousness and holiness. In doing so we were presented to our own cross and crucifixion which is the picture of our repentance to the Lord and our gift of Salvation which is free.

In Colossians 3:10 through 14 it mentions putting on the new man and in Galatians 3:27 says clothing ourselves in Christ. Which allows us to understand our new creation is to be seen as Christ and God unified and as one. Being created in a new fashion brings forth transformation.
This is the new house not made by hands but by the spirit of the Living God. An ending Christ spoke of a parable that reference to being made new that would change any reader’s perspective especially his followers it not only gives us hope and peace of mind but it also convince those who do not follow in the ways of righteousness still putting on the old man trying to pull into themselves the Holy Spirit. Matthew 9:17 ” neither do men put new wine into Old bottles at the bottles break and the wine running out and the bottles perish but they put new wine in new bottles and both are preserved.”

Christ only intention is to allow you to see the importance of the transformation to the power of repentance and the Holy Spirit that now dwells within the new body in the new creation which is you. Many have yet to discover what it means and feels like to be free but I say to you today who the son has set free is free indeed. It also and parallel to our beginning statement and teaching and 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 1 speaks of my old house dissolving this is the old man dissolving into his repentance and into the ground with baptism only to be transformed by the resurrection and the power of the Holy Spirit through God our father and his son Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.
