For what is my life, Oh LORD
That You should love me so deeply?
What is my worth unto You…
That You embrace me ever so sweetly?
I am so weak, dear LORD
I wonder how long I will keep breathing…
If my soul cannot find any rest or peace
How shall my heart continue on beating?
I do not ask why, pertaining to the fiery trial
I know that in the end it’s always worth while
LORD, Your Word says that You rejoice over me
As a Bridegroom rejoices over His Bride
Your Word says…
That You have committed Yourself to me
In an everlasting covenant
Sealed in Your own blood
You paid more than enough
You have pursued me relentlessly
You have searched me out and chased me down
Over and over again…
Jesus… You even call me Your friend…!
I am so honored and so truly blessed
For though I know I am put to the test
I also know that every one makes me stronger
LORD, I pray, please don’t allow me to wander
I want to stay ever close to You
No-One Else in this whole wide world would do
Please don’t let me fall down too far
Not like the last time
LORD, keep me ever close to Your heart
For indeed You love me more than I know
I pray LORD, that You never let me go…
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.
For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap;
He lays up the deep in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.
