Called to Peace

Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. and be thankful.”

There are always many ways through out the day that we find that can steal our joy and peace away. Busy work schedules, car problems, being late to work, staying late to work, children outburst, relationships with family and marriage. Just when you think that the list would go on and on, Jesus leaves us a word to cling to. In the Book of Colossians that was written through the time when Paul was imprisoned it commands us to “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts” Christ is to be the center piece of all things in our lives. Yet how many times do we find ourselves something ruling our lives and stealing our Peace. This is the enemy invading ground in our lives.

Letting The Peace of Christ rule is a request from Paul saying, surrender your heart. Let you heart be captivated and over ran by the Peace that is from the Prince of Peace.Let Go and Let GOD This means simply that we need to stop depending on ourselves and allow our selves to Let God fight those things out so that we can we still operate in the Spirit. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee. Our Minds have to be used daily to stay focused on the scripture, the promises of GOD! How can we spread the message of Jesus, of Love, of the life changing Spirit of Power if we are not focused nor at peace with life. People can see these things and even though we are human, Christ called us to live for Him. We are to Trust Him and spread the Love. The Message of truth is sometimes quite convicting even after awhile we began to follow Jesus.

Since we are called to be in one Body I encourage you pray for each person you know. Praying for someone else and their peace will surely ensure peace of mind in your life. God will grant you peace because your heart is looking to set peace in hearts of friends, family, church members maybe even complete strangers. This is a great way to interceed on many believers behalf.

Philippians 4:6,7 Be careful for nothing, but in everything be prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your HEARTS and MINDS through Christ.

If today you might be dealing with stressful things like many of us and you want to surrender your heart to Jesus to experience again the Peace of God. Pray with me

Dear Jesus,

Thank you Lord for being my friend, thank you for the work you did on the Cross! Lord thank you for always being with me through everything. Thank you for your promises in me life. Thank you Lord that you prayed for me before you finished our Heavenly Fathers assignment. Our Salvation! Lord I request to you my heart. Remove from me things that are not healthy and not of you. God reestablish my heart with Your Peace Lord Jesus. It is in your Name Jesus I pray. Amen.
