Confess

The promise behind Confession

Here’s a promise every Christian follower can expect when we repent and confess with others or to God. There is something about confessing with our mouths and our tongue that sends a sign to God that he releases his Mercy his grace his forgiveness and applies his love into our lives.

The scripture: 1st John 1:9 “if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”

When You look into understanding what confess or confession means it is the acknowledgment and admittance of a fault you have committed. And another way to see confession regardless of the reluctance and embarrassment we are able to declare by our faith in Christ our human state. We are openly speaking of our failures to either a Believer or God for help for Redemption for forgiveness.

The scripture says when we confess we open our mouths when we speak of, then He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This is the promise today.

Imagine a cloud that is wrapped around you that causes you to be blind, so blind in fact that you are unaware of your surroundings! You find that the only way to see is to look above you. As you would reach out to escape and return to your regular state of being able to see, you begin to see why you are hindered in your own way from seeing. (Gods power with conviction, which is Good cause it comes from the Holy Spirit.) Isn’t that how God works. He begins to close doors and convict or hinder us in a certain way that all we are able to do is look up to Him. He wants us to have a childlike faith.

Yet in today’s society we begin to take on so much for ourselves that will cause us to stumble. It causes us to not have faith, causes to be full of anxiety, cause us to be full of fear and these are all sins. God gives us a way out of fear, and anxiety yes even unbelief. Those are the ties that bind us down.

The reason why I use this depiction is because if we stay in sin we stay in bondage, darkness and hindered from walking in the light until we speak…

It’s something about when we step out in faith and say forgive me it clears the air waves, the Fog! Here is the marker. Not from the outside but from within, God begins to work. He begins to remove the cloud, the vision, our perspective that hinders us. Our faith in Christ comes from within us. Our faith in God grant us healing. Unless we stand up and acknowledge our state and admit, then the God of faithfulness can not forgives us and cleanse us.

Forgiveness releases the bondage and cleansing as is our way for God to remove us and polish us to be like his glory into shine into the world.

God’s entire message is that he will transform us into His Image glory to glory. 2nd Corinthians 3:18. When God comes to us to forgive us he reminds us to scripture was us that our town has power Proverbs 18:21 to everyone who calls on him shall be saved Romans 10:13

God’s promises are reminders of how much he loves us, how powerful he is and how much you need him.
